How you can eliminate uneasy, cold, winter mornings!

There's nothing worse than waking up in the morning met with the daunting task of cold tiles. Showers are procrastinated, and when you finally get in, you don't want to face the cold when getting out. Whether you are building a new house, or just looking at convenience, one of the best choices you can make is implementing a heating element to your bathroom!

These days, bathroom lighting, cooling, and heating systems usually come within a single unit. There are so many options to choose from, it can be a bit daunting. there are 2-in-1s, 3-in1s, and 4-in-1s. But what does it all mean? Today, we'll touch on bathroom systems that provide a heating function specifically targeted to reduce discomfort in those chilly winter months. For more information on systems that provide extraction, cooling, and lighting only, check out some of our previous blog posts!

Something to consider before choosing is the current placement of your existing fittings. If you have existing downlights, you will want to avoid removing them, unless the unit is going to replace them. Are you replacing a smaller exhaust unit than you are fitting? Perfect! But if you are installing a larger unit than you are replacing it with, this can be a hard task and will require a variation of tradespeople to repatch the hole.

Heat from Heat Lamps:

The Hurricane is a high-performance exhaust fan with a max airflow of 500m³/hr and two 275W heat lamps to really keep you warm. This has a thermal override function to keep you and your family safe! The LED light has 900lm and a decibel rating of 44db.

The Domino emits 800W of heat from its R7 linear heat lamp. This model uses a warm white tone for lighting and has an extraction capacity of 500 m³/h.

Fan forced heating:

The Sahara is a great option for a 4-in-1 system that offers heating, cooling, exhaust, and light functions in an ultra-slim design. The LED light integrated into this unit offers a 1500lm output which is perfect for medium-sized bathrooms. This unit offers a fan-powered heater that will circulate the warm air around the bathroom. The extraction capacity for this unit is 380m³/hr.

Heat from Infrared:

The Ventair Sunset is a flush-mounted bathroom heater that has one purpose, and one purpose only: keeping you warm. This model is ideal for those who have limited space in their roof for installation and is made of premium grade, dark onyx ceramic for optimum heat transfer. This model does not have extraction capacity or an LED function, so this would serve as an addition to exhaust and existing light fittings.

There are many things to consider when choosing the right model for you. Do you prefer a fan-powered heater or a heat lamp? Do you have existing downlights or will you be relying on the unit to light the entire bathroom? The size of your bathroom will determine the required extraction capacity - as well as other factors such as: whether the toilet is in the bathroom and more! Maybe you want to keep your existing exhaust or light and want to add a heater as a stand-alone unit? Talk to us today to get the right model for you!
