However, if the intention is to warm a larger space, it may require more time, potentially up to 15 minutes or beyond. It is worth noting that the warming time can vary due to differing heat output and performance among various models and brands of outdoor heaters. 

Most wall-mounted outdoor heaters utilise infrared heat, which proves highly effective, especially in windy conditions. Infrared heat selectively warms objects that it directly contacts, resulting in an efficient heating method that minimizes dispersion into the surrounding air. Nevertheless, this approach has a drawback: the warmth is primarily felt in areas directly exposed to the heat. For instance, while your face may experience warmth on an outdoor patio, your hands and feet may remain cold. Conversely, certain heaters employ forced air heat, similar to outdoor gas heaters. These units warm the air immediately surrounding them, making the heat more susceptible to loss in windy conditions. Generally, forced air heaters are most advantageous on calm days when you can direct the hot air in specific directions, as otherwise, they can lead to significant energy wastage.
