Description

The NEOS-16 is a 24V DC dual-bend LED neon-flex, built on reinforced PCB technology that lets it twist and curve in any direction. Instead of visible individual dots, its neon-flex profile gives a continuous, tube-like glow. It runs at 15W per metre (1,095 lm/m, 73 lm/W), CRI >94 colour accuracy with SDCM <3 consistency, is dimmable, and can be free-cut at any point rather than fixed increments, up to a 10m run per feed point. It ships with a 300mm power feed as standard, with custom feed lengths available on request. It's available in five colour temperatures, including 2100K Super Warm White.

The NEOS-16 carries an IP68 rating when its cut ends are sealed with Lampada's injection-moulded end caps, assembled and moulded on-site at their Brisbane facility — talk to us about pre-terminated lengths if you need a fully sealed outdoor run. It's available with bottom, direct, left or right feed options, plus dedicated aluminium extrusions and mounting clips for a clean install. This neon-flex requires a separate 24V DC LED driver, such as the Elettrica II 24V DC Slimline LED Driver, sized to your total run length. If you don't need the extra output, the NEOS-10 10W Dual-Bend LED Neon Flex is our lower-wattage option.

What is an LED driver?

An LED driver converts mains electricity into a stable low-voltage DC power required by compatible lighting products. A driver is needed whenever a product requires an external DC power supply; usually location in areas with full weather exposure.

Common low-voltage products include spike lights, bollards, LED strip lighting and low-voltage wall lights. Always check the individual product specifications, as not every product within these categories requires an external driver.

The driver’s output voltage must match the product’s required voltage (eg. 12V DC), and its wattage must be sufficient for the total connected load. The calculator below recommends a suitable 12V or 24V driver and includes the required safety margin.

Do I need to buy anything else with this neon-flex?

Yes — you'll need a separate 24V DC constant voltage LED driver sized to your total run length, such as the Elettrica II 24V DC Slimline LED Driver.

Can I use this outdoors?

Yes — the NEOS-16 carries an IP68 rating, but only once the cut ends are sealed with Lampada's injection-moulded end caps, assembled on-site at their Brisbane facility. If you cut the strip without those factory-terminated ends, it won't be fully sealed — talk to us about pre-terminated lengths for outdoor or wet-area runs.

How does power connect to the strip, and can I get a longer feed lead?

The NEOS-16 ships with a 300mm power feed lead as standard. If you need a longer lead for your installation, custom feed lengths are available on request — get in touch with us before ordering.
