What is an LED driver?An LED driver converts mains electricity into a stable low-voltage DC power required by compatible lighting products. A driver is needed whenever a product requires an external DC power supply; usually location in areas with full weather exposure. Common low-voltage products include spike lights, bollards, LED strip lighting and low-voltage wall lights. Always check the individual product specifications, as not every product within these categories requires an external driver. The driver’s output voltage must match the product’s required voltage (eg. 12V DC), and its wattage must be sufficient for the total connected load. The calculator below recommends a suitable 12V or 24V driver and includes the required safety margin. All fittings connected to one driver must have the same voltage input. The Dash DC Ceiling Fan with LED Light combines quick installation, strong airflow and integrated room lighting in one streamlined design. Featuring four click-in ABS blades that can be assembled without tools, it delivers maximum air movement of up to 12,078m³/h (48") or 12,173m³/h (52") from its smooth and quiet 35W DC motor.
The included 24W LED light kit provides up to 2400 lumens with selectable 3000K, 4500K and 6500K colour temperatures, along with dimmable operation for added versatility. With a 3-speed wall control, UV-stabilised ABS blades and a clean contemporary profile, Dash is a practical option for bedrooms, living areas and other suitable spaces.
The included wall control requires no neutral wire at the wall, making it suitable for both new installations and many older Australian homes. It also uses a standard rotary fan switch mechanism with a detachable control box, allowing it to be adapted to most compatible fan rotary dials.
