What is an LED driver?An LED driver converts mains electricity into a stable low-voltage DC power required by compatible lighting products. A driver is needed whenever a product requires an external DC power supply; usually location in areas with full weather exposure. Common low-voltage products include spike lights, bollards, LED strip lighting and low-voltage wall lights. Always check the individual product specifications, as not every product within these categories requires an external driver. The driver’s output voltage must match the product’s required voltage (eg. 12V DC), and its wattage must be sufficient for the total connected load. The calculator below recommends a suitable 12V or 24V driver and includes the required safety margin. The Barline 300mm Surface Mount Wall Light features a slim, modern profile designed to provide clean architectural illumination across a range of contemporary spaces. Available in Brass Coloured Aluminium or Black, the fitting combines a streamlined body with a high-grade perspex diffuser for a refined and understated appearance.
Its built-in 6W LED offers selectable tri-colour lighting in 3000K, 4000K and 5500K, allowing the colour temperature to be adjusted to suit the setting. Triac dimmable operation provides additional lighting flexibility when paired with a compatible dimmer.
Rated IP65, the Barline is suitable for protected exterior applications as well as indoor use. Please note that the Brass Coloured Aluminium finish should be installed indoors or in areas not exposed directly to weather.
