Warranty Policy

Warranty Policy

All new products sold by JD Lighting are covered by a manufacturer's warranty. This warranty applies to manufacturing faults only and does not cover misuse or incorrect installation.

Warranty periods vary by product. Please refer to the product packaging and manufacturer documentation for specific warranty details.

Warranty Conditions

To ensure your warranty remains valid, the following conditions apply:

  • Installation must be carried out by a qualified and licensed electrician, except for products specifically labelled as DIY (Do-It-Yourself)

  • Warranty claims require proof of professional installation, such as an Electrical Safety Certificate

  • Warranty will be void if a product (excluding DIY items) is installed by anyone other than a licensed electrician

  • Any repairs, alterations, or modifications made without prior approval from JD Lighting or the manufacturer will void the warranty

  • Manufacturer warranties do not cover:

    • Incorrect installation

    • Normal wear and tear or ageing

    • Damage caused by misuse

    • Power surges or electrical faults

Types of Warranty

Warranty claims are handled differently depending on the type of warranty applicable to your product.

Replacement Warranty

If your product is found to be faulty within the replacement warranty period, you are entitled to a replacement item.

Please note:

  • Replacement warranty does not cover installation costs or return postage

  • JD Lighting will cover the postage cost to send the replacement item

How to request a replacement:

Email us at:
warranty@jdlighting.com.au

You must obtain a Return Authorisation (RA) before sending any item back.
Unauthorised returns will not be accepted.

In-Home Warranty

If an installed product is found to be faulty within the in-home warranty period, the manufacturer will arrange for a service agent to:

  • Inspect and diagnose the fault

  • Repair or replace the product if required

All costs associated with the repair or replacement of a confirmed faulty product are covered by the manufacturer.

Important:
If the fault is caused by incorrect installation, any service call or repair costs will be payable by the customer at the time of service.

To lodge an in-home warranty claim, please contact the manufacturer directly.
