Remote Control Kits

A ceiling fan remote control kit is an accessory that allows you to operate a ceiling fan wirelessly. 

A typical kit includes:

• A receiver unit installed inside the fan housing 

The remote communicates with the receiver to control key fan functions such as:

In most cases, yes. 

For AC ceiling fans, a remote control kit usually replaces the wall controller. You generally cannot use a wall control and a remote simultaneously unless a specific adapter is designed for that purpose. 

For DC ceiling fans, remote control operation is standard, and wall controls are rarely supported unless offered as a manufacturer-approved accessory.
