What are E27 Globes and where are they commonly used?

E27 (ES) globes are one of the most common globe types in Australia. They use a 27mm Edison Screw (ES) base, which screws directly into the fitting.

Can I replace an E27 halogen or incandescent with LED?

Yes - E27 (ES) LED globes are designed to be an easy upgrade from older globe types, helping reduce heat and electricity usage.

Are E27 Globes dimmable?

Some are, some aren’t.

If you need dimming, make sure the globe is clearly labelled “dimmable E27” and that you have a compatible LED dimmer installed.
