The Ballpark is a one‑of‑a‑kind sports and entertainment venue in Hamilton’s Portside Wharf precinct — combining an American‑themed sports bar with immersive activities such as three virtual baseball batting cages, pool tables, dart boards and live sports viewing, all under one roof.
To suit this dynamic hospitality and entertainment environment, JD Lighting supplied custom lighting solutions focused on layered illumination that enhances both ambience and functionality. A mix of track lighting, downlights, pendants and up‑and‑down wall lights was used to create depth and atmosphere throughout the space, highlight key interior features, and support diverse activity zones — from sports play areas to social seating and bar zones. Fixtures such as Profilio pendants were also used to provide optimal illumination for specific areas, like above the pool tables, ensuring both visual comfort and mood enhancement.
